I've been into affiliate marketing for a little under a year now. In that year I've started 3 websites and have some marginal success with them.

I'm at the point now that I want to take my AM work to the next step and start playing in the same ballpark as some more successful marketers.

I'm not exactly sure where to start to take the knowledge that I've gotten in my previous attempts and turn them into something promising. I don't want to be spoon fed, I live by the idea that if you don't work for it you aren't going to get it. I just want to see if anyone has some sound advice for an AM novice that can help me take it to the next step.

Thank you for anything you have to offer.

Ideas to work on ... look for ways to:

- Increase traffic to your existing sites
- Test layout variations, wording variations and so on, to see if you can get more users clicking through to your merchants
- Increase quality links to your existing sites
- Add quality content to your existing sites

When you've made good progress on the above, consider starting a new site, but resist the temptation to create more sites than you can manage effectively.
