refused by affiliate programs, because my "site" is a facebook app.

I've got a facebook app which involves product recommendations. Totally white-hat, useful, good reviews, etc. Those who use it say they love it, and it does generate quite a lot of outbound traffic.

I've started applying for dozens of relevant affiliate programs, I'm getting denied by 80% of them (approx)

I think it's because the facebook app is "behind a login" - a criteria which is seemingly blacklisted by many programs. It's not like there are people looking at my app and declining politely - the responses come back within seconds; they are obviously automated responses.

Is there anything I can do?

One idea: take my facebook app and try to make a public-facing version on a regular www domain. But then it loses much of its social flavour, and there are privacy issues as well.

I'm at a bit of a loss. Some of the web's largest e-tailers have declined my applications, meaning they - and I - are missing out on potential sales.

Any advice appreciated

Why not apply with a different URL, get accepted then go from there?

I would try creating a mini site with its own URL masking the Facebook site in a frame. Have lots of nice relevant noframes text.

With a bit of luck that might save you from automated rejections although not from manual reviews.

Just re-read your post. A lot of affiliate and ad networks don't like sites with a login requirement. I would imagine it is because they can't check on what you are doing with their ads.
