Ideas for selling ebooks

What do you think about selling ebooks. Is it profitable?
Is anybody selling books for buy-ebook?
Or what do you think about clickbank. They all give more than 40%

I think eBooks was a pretty lucrative idea several years ago when it was less saturated. There is still money in the market, don't get me wrong, you jsut have to be a lot more clever or find a sweet niche..

Urgh. I gave reading "e-books" a shot, but couldn't get pass the fact that I had to keep pressing my arrow keys. Books will NEVER go out of style. The same personality that reads books makes them want to read hard/softcovers. You will never, ever convince a "book person" to go to reading computer screens. It will never happen. I have nothing to back that statement up, but I'm telling you, I'm just a semi-book person, and even I can't stand the thought of reading books off computer screens. Can you imagine the book worms?

I think that ebooks crowd is a bit different than the regular book worm. We also have to think about the typical ebook content - usually (from what I've run into) they're ebooks on how to make money selling ebooks.

The type of ebooks nonwithstanding, there's always the option of printing out the ebook and putting it in a binder. I've done that a handful of times.

For all the time I spend in front of the computer, yeah, reading a pdf file isn't one of the most preferable activities.

Yeah but counting the cost of ink and paper, that's more expensive than buying the actual book. :?

I think ebooks are pretty profitable if you have high traffic, good web design, advertising and marketing.

You have to find a niche.

You can sell ebooks on amazon.com, ebay.com and clickbank.

ClickBank is a pretty good affiliate network for digital information, software and download sites.

I dont think ebooks are really the best thing to promote as an affiliate, but I do think they can be very profitable in the following two situations.

1) You are the author of the ebook and it is full of valuable information (one of the methods I am using)
2) You have a large list of readers/subscribers to your newsletter or website and you have some reputation so that if you recommend the book, they will purchase it.
