well, if you have a site about widgets, you look for an affiliate program on widgets.

or you start the other way, you look for a progrma you like, and build a new site for that program.

I link to specific items on Amazon from my music site (mostly from CD reviews), funny thing is that most sales come from people buying other things, probably down to the nice Amazon cookie that checks if they come back.

I did try replacing Adsense with affiliate links that I thought might suit the demographic but didn't even get clicks let alone sales

I'm trying to improve my Amazon sales as AdSense has gone way down for me.

I think thats due to your visitors trusting your site.
