Tric - has made a filter solution that check what ISP you have before you can access websites. [tric.com...]

They have signed up all swedish ISPs and all the major content providers (including MSN and all newspapers) and are going live with the service in september.

Revolutioning? Yes, it can be a new income model for the net.

-ISPs can differentiate their products with access to different content channels. Much like a cable TV operator.

-Contentproviders get income from the ISPs.

With the crash of net advertising, we need a new model to pay for content. I think this is a very simple solution for a big problem.

The users of ISPs not participating in the TRIC revenue share program will be denied access to contracted content providers and redirected to a site informing them of participating ISPs.

Very interesting model. I wonder if it could catch on globally.

Sounds pretty similar to a micropayment type concept. Good idea.
