So you operate a site and come across a competitor using a host of sneaky tricks to optimize. Redirects & KW rich doorway pages mostly.

Would or Should you tell G?

What would be the straw to break the camels back for you?

I never bother to report competitors. I'd rather spend my time on developing my site or another site of mine. In a competitive field, if you take out one person break the "rules", they'll be replaced almost immediately with another. :)

They don't care about the SERP's. I reported a porn site doing what you had mentioned for a completely unrelated term, and to this day they still come up #1 for this term.

If you have a beef with an unscrupulous AdWords offender they take it more seriously, but as far as the SERP's go it's fair game.
