Affiliates scripts with masses of javascript

Some of the affiliate ads I run on my site come with masses of baggage in the form of javascript upon javascript -- in one case 60K worth of included files and functions.

How do people deal with this? I can cache the main file, but not all the includes, so if there's some sluggishmess at the vendor's end (not that they'd admit ever it), the page can slow down to a crawl while it waits for complex javascript date routines etc -- yeah the flight bookers are particularly bad for this.

Aside from keeping the ads on a subsidiary page with a click through to it, to keep delays of higher traffic pages, does anyone have any suggetsions?

Are the javascripts generated dynamically or are they static?
If they're 100% static you could just consolidate all of them into one .js file and host it locally. It's not gonna resolve your problem entirely but it should speed things up slightly.
