Hi

I'm trying to sell products designed by myself online and I have my own website. What's the best way to get more traffics? My friend suggests to join Affiliate programs, Is it a good idea? Do I have to start my own affiliate program or use others, how does it work?

Thanks

Some shopping carts will have the affiliate program built in.

Other than that it can be good in the sense of incoming links.

If you want to have other people sell your products, then you should set up an affiliate program. You can either join a network which will have some fees involved, or you could run this in house provided you had some tech support. There are a lot of variables that will determine whether you can get affiliates to join, such as commissions, conversions, popularity of the product, affiliate support etc.
