I run an educational site, which teaches people how to use a particular electronic product. Most people who visit it do so AFTER they buy the product. As a result, associate programs like Amazon never did well. Google does.
So I was thrilled when Chitka came out and offered a pay-per-click system that worked well on my site, something that I could set up that didn't conflict with the TOS of AdSense. I particularly liked that I could enter keywords and a photo of a related product would show, which matched content on a page.
Well, Chitika recently changed everything and now their ads perform poorly, with a 80-90 percent drop in revenue. They not only don't show products in the manner they did before, but I must use an alternate URL. Chitka ads rarely show, so I've had to throw in ads from programs such a CJ that, like Amazon, do not do well at my site.
A lot of space at my site is devoted to Chitka and alternate ads that simply result in zero sales.
I've looked at a few alternate programs but none seem to offer ppc/product ads that are graphical in format. Does any such program exist; a program that would be a good substitute for Chitika?
Thank you.
Are there any tried and true PPC associate programs that are similar to what Chitika use to be: ppc, graphical ads, abiility to manually put in keywords so the ads don't conflict with Adsense or YPN.
Thank you.
There were complaints posted in Chitika's forum so they implemented an option code so the new ads would not display in emini malls, etc.
Personally, my income shot up nicely with the alternate ads displaying, so I have no complaint. I spotted a YPN ad code displaying, so I now have Adsense and YPN showing (via Chitika) on the same pages.

>>you only need to add another line of coding to the Chitika ads to stop the new ad behavior.
Are you talking about the Alternate URL?
>>my income shot up nicely with the alternate ads displaying,
So your income shot up from the alternate ads, not Chitika ads? Am I understanding you correctly?
Thanks again.
