I got a phone call yesterday from an affiliate manager offering to give me private label website.

  • My content would all stay on my website

  • I would have to remove all other competing affiliate links

  • In exchange I would get a form on my site collects the information, redirects to the merchants site with my logo on the page.

    The Good

  • While I have no first hand experience, I would assume if I made the transition smooth (ie similar colors and layout), I would inspire more "trust" from consumers and get better conversions

    The Bad

  • I would have to make sure I'm not bound by contract and could change it whenever I wanted to.

  • If i did change it back I would be "burning a bridge"

Anyone have any first hand experiences to share, or tips on what to be on the lookout for. If you can't make them generic, you can sticky me.

Check and make sure they're not offering the same template and data to 10,000 other affiliates, if they're giving you a proper kit.

The downside, if your site does not have a reputation... having your logo on the order page might actually be a bad thing.
