I had good luck selling [no self promotion] this weekend. There is this company called [no self promotion].com they have an affiliate program that pays 5% for every sale. If you sign up for their affiliate program they will email you with daily promotions. This weekend they had a sale on this [self promotion] priced at $9.99. There was a coupon code good for $5.00 off bring the total down to $5.00. The great part about their affiliate program is that I get full commission for the entire $9.99 because they didn't factor in the coupon code when doing the commission for the sale. I made at least $870(and still going) from this deal.

5% of $9.99 is about 50 cents. For you to make $870 from this weekend promotion you would have to sell over 1700 "[suprapsu's self promotion]" in one weekend? Wow, that is impressive sales numbers. What kind of traffic does your site get?

I suppose its just a coincidence that the poster of the glad tidings of [suprapsu's self promotion] sales and record earnings, suprapsu, has a public email address at WebmasterWorld as cuongd@....

... and that the registered owner of [suprapsu's self promotion] at Network Solutions is "[suprapsu's alias]"

Or maybe suprapsu just takes readers of this forum to be a bunch of clueless mugs :(

appologies to the mods ;)

Not really any magic..

..if someone posts a recommendation of an affiliate who has

1. made 2 posts
2. been a menber here for less than 3 months
3. their claim is so preposterous, eg as maximillianos pointed out, 1700 sales in a weekend, which means around 100,000 page views a day on his site.

..then the balance of probability is that they are being economical with the truth :(

So just do a bit of checking by the "usual channels"

Indeed when I read his post I figured out immediately that there was something fishy..

Some reasons why I thought this:
- He was very open and gave a lot of details. Most people on these boards aren't so specific and won't let other people look into their cards.
- Making $870 with [suprapsu's self promotion] during a few days sounds nearly impossible to me unless you really get a huge amount of traffic (But in that case you could do lots of better things with your traffic). The amount of people with a laptop is low (compared to PCs) and the amount of people willing to buy [suprapsu's self promotion] will be very low so you would really need a lot of traffic.
- ...

WOW! Can you just imagine! The unfathomable humiliation, and shear embarrasment the "Coola Masta" must be feeling at this very moment.

I mean, not to "beat a dead cat" or "rub rock salt in them wounds" but even a small "intentional lie" can have such EVERLASTING effects on a persons reputation! Webmasterworld sure does get alot of visitors a day! Now the WHOLE WORLD knows! HAhaha.. ... it hurts... ROFL

Wow, what a great site that is for getting cool stuff to [keyword removed]! I am going to go spend many hundreds of dollars at that site and then tell everyone I know about it! Good thing it was posted here or I would have never known about it!
