Hi, Have you seen a decrease in your profits lately? We work in software industry, our sales decreased about 50%... how about you?

Pretty normal. I mostly sell books.

What do you attribute the decrease to--I assume that your traffic etc. has remained constant--the economy?

Yes sure the traffic has remained normal. Perhaps it's from the economy and the increase of oil price. Is there a web article state that?

My profits didn't decrease. They've stayed about the same. It probably helps that I have no advertising expenses, so almost all of what I earn is profits....

Also, it's possible that you are seeing something of a seasonal effect. If you were in the same line of business last year, check back and see if there was a drop-off in the spring. I always see one.

We did not have such a drop-off last spring! I think it's just from the current bad economy but the problem is that we do not have enough information to make sure if this is our case or not.

Was there a hot product that was helping to drive sales, and there isn't one now? Do you need to update/revise the products you are featuring?

Actually I already did that and there is no new compatators!
