Need some advice for ads.

Hello everyone, I'm both new to these boards and new to the idea of advertising on my website. I own a site that does rankings for a popular video game. So we have a ranking board, matchmaking service for finding games, a forum, and live chat. We're getting around 20,000 pageviews and almost 1,000 unique visitors per day. Most of our pageviews are generated by loyal returning users (and thus many less unique pageviews).

I want to put up some ads, but I'm not sure what would be my best bet. How can I maximize my earnings? Any and all advise is welcome, as I am a complete newcomer to this. Thanks!

Hi and welcome to WebmasterWorld. The numbers you have are a good start, but they are not really going to bring you in very much revenue. Your options include selling related products via affiliate programs, making some money on contextual ad programs ( adsense for example), finding a cpm network that would take your site with the low volume, or solicit direct ads yourself. I'd say if you want to have the site pay for itself and get earn some gas money, you'll need to increase your visitors by quite a bit.
