Direct Media Exchange (DMX) having significant ad serving issues

Ads can take minutes to load and slow down pages

Has anyone experienced ad serving problems with Direct Media Exchange (direct.rightmedia.com)? It seems like one out of five pages will require a page refresh because the ad serving software won't load the ad and in turn the rest of the page won't load until the ad has loaded.

This is frustrating to say the least and I bet we're losing both revenue and traffic as a result.

Our site is very busy so I can understand that there would be a few hiccups along the way, but so often and for so many users the ads don't load and require a refresh. This is now becoming such an issue that users have started to complain.

Perhaps I'm missing something and need to customize a setting? Any advice or info on DMX's response to a problem that I'm pretty sure is occurring across the board for their publishers?

Why would you even waste your time with that crap. If you need an automated solution, Pubmatic or Therubiconproject are the ones to use. Tiering is not a bad option either.

I wasn't aware of those networks. But I see that Pubmatic doesn't provide its own in-house networks that are willing to pay a higher eCPM than your chosen networks (Adsense, Tribal, etc).

I see Rubicon might actually be doing the same thing. Have you had success with their services?

DMX is actually making us additional revenue. Apart from the hiccups, DMX still provides roughly 20% of our monthly revenue so I'd rather stick with them than go elsewhere.

That may be true about the in house networks. But if you tend to use outside networks more than their networks, you may do better with either. Adsdaq would be better too. Your site. Your choice. I do not know many major site operators who use dmx. I know several using rubicon and Adsdaq.

I think Adsdaq and DMX are providing the same service where their in-house (or more like dedicated partner networks) networks fight with your chosen networks (like Tribal, Adsense) for exposure.

Adsdaq and DMX have been around for the same time, no?
