Calling all Australian affiliate marketers!

Any good or bad experiences with Aussie affiliate networks?

Hey, just wondering if any Aussie AM's out there have experience with Commission monster, Sitelink or any other Australian affiliate network. Do you believe they are honest? Do they pay on time etc.

Thanks very much,

Jonathan

Are you asking as an affiliate?
Are you looking for Australian based affiliate networks or affiliate networks that support Australian focused programs?

Hi Gerbot, sorry I should have clarified this in my first post. I am asking as an affiliate (i.e publisher). In relation to your second question, I suppose I am asking primarily about experience with Australian affiliate networks though I would also be interested to hear about overseas affiliate networks that deal with Australian companies as well!

Thanks

My experience of a particular Aussie network... (i'm english btw)My site got hijacked, commissions went missing and everytime I tried to load my site popups galore!
The aff's working for this network are a bunch of serious spammers.

What is the world coming to when a spammer has to nick your site to make a couple of bucks.

This network is happy to allow this to go on as well.
They told me that the methods used by their partners
didn't concern them so long as the sales were true.

Don't know about the rest but I've never had any problems with Commission Monster

I use them for products for my aussie site and it's been running smoothly for a while now.

While we're on the topic of Aussie AM's.... Are there many here? (should i have started a new topic)

Hi Rogi, you are welcome to threadjack as I'm also curious how many aussie AMs are about. Thanks for the info on commission monster

I'm from Australia, live in Australia, but don't promote any Australian stuff.

Hi Procyron, are you saying you deal primarily with American affiliate networks and customers? Does it take a while for your cheques to arrive or do you get paid by Paypal or some other electronic means?

From what I have heard from talking to others, Aussies prefer the overseas aff programs. I have subscribed to one Aussie scheme but the experience is underwhelming. I get stats when the AM remembers to email a spreadsheet and the numbers are pretty low (but that reflects my low-traffic site).

Any Aussies with the big American networks? Commission Junction, Linkshare etc?

Yeah I'm using CJ and Linkshare and Share-A-Sale for my US-based site.

So far only Linkshare seems to be the problematic one ... delays in reporting, problems with tracking ... but still not too bad.
