Does Burst! Media Pay more than Fastclick?

for real?

I have this problem. I like getting checks on a monthly basis. Burst! Media pays every 3 months, which sucks. Fastclick pays every month (and usually on the 20th, although December didn't work out that way, apparently because some error with Paypal (at least that's their story)). Anyways, considering my affinity for monthly payments, should I return to using Fastclick as my primary, and shove Burst to my secondary? I've been told that Burst! Media's rates are usually higher than Fastclicks. Is this ALWAYS true, or are the difference neglible enough for me to switch back?

Any advice, experience, opinions would be appreciated.

I've decided to go back to Fastclick as my primary. I've weigh my choices, and right now there just doesn't seem to be very much reason to go with Burst! first. The payout doesn't justify it, and that 3 month plan is a killer.

webmastertexas,

i have used adsense for a while but am launching a new site that makes no sense for content-based advertising. so i am trying to figure out myself whether fastclick or burst or some other advertising vehicle might work.

other than that 3-month payment plan, were there any other factors that drove your decision? and what in your experience is the difference in payout?

Truth be told the 3-month net is the biggest factor. I already have an affiliate that pays out quarterly, so I didn't want to add another one to it. Also, Burst! offers you some options when you sign up -- you can go exclusively with them, and get a bigger cut, or you can go a month-by-month non-exclusive basis, and only take 50%. Fastclick offers a higher cut, so although Burst's rates are higher, the difference in net between the two networks are so neglible that it's not worth it to go with them and hassle the quarterly payout. At least, for me personally.
