Direct AM using AdWords

A little help...

So.. I have been trying this out for a few days, created some good campaigns, keywords, etc.

I have a few purchases but nothing great, and I was wondering if I could get some tips:

1) Content vs Searches for AdWords?

2) Prices in the ads?

3) How much tweaking is too much?

4) Better to just use AdWords -> Content sites and do it that way?

Content match is always a bad idea. I would stick with the search network.

There is recent talk that Google will not allow direct to merchant advertising as early as January. Can anyone find the thread on that?

Anyway, as a backup I would get some landing pages going.
