Directly posting aff. links on social bookmarking

If relevant - Is it allowed?

I'm talking about leads. Is posting an aff. link in the right category, with an honest description and title (like: 'fill out this survey and win a free widget') on a social bookmarking site a 'legal' way to generate leads for the merhant? I personally don't see any problems with this approach, since the leads are (IMHO) of sufficient quality when originating from the right category. Seems like a nice bum marketing scheme. But, as in all things easy, is there a catch?

Probably depends on the merchant. Check their TOS.

They don't explicitly state this. Although I think it's legal when they have an open keyword policy?
