The celebs are "old" classics rather than recent ones.
Traffic I believe is between the age group of 30-50 years old (deduced from the subject matter and the fact that 35% of the visitors come from AOL)
I am looking into related affiliate items, but for this post I was wondering about poster sales.
Thanks!
I don't know exactly which celebs you are talking about. However I am in the age bracket you discuss I am way past the point of buying a poster of Cheryl Tiegs or Linda Carter and placing it on my wall.
In your situation I would promote posters, autographs, ebay(memorabilia) and DVD's (ebay).
Make sure you highly target your links.

That's some darn good advice, I was beginning to think in that direction too. A big shame is that ebay doesn't give any percentage of goods sold, just a flat rate.. And I noticed alot of the ebay items are pretty high pricey. Furthermore you only get commissions on new users right? and by this time next week there will only be 5 of those for us all to fight over.. eheh
I'm currently also doing very well selling 2005 calendars and t-shirts through AllPosters.com.
It is all about pulling targeted traffic. If your traffic isn't targeted enough, or you just aren't pulling enough traffic, then you won't get results. Just putting some banners and thumbnails on a page you've designed for some other purpose isn't very productive, in my opinion.
I've also found "celebrity" posters to be relatively poor performing -- fine art prints and vintage prints perform much better.
Stuff associated with "old" classics will probably appeal more to an older more affluent generation, so prints instead of posters, memorabilia, collectibles and things like that would probably do better and net you more per click/sale/whatever.
Tickets could be a possibility and stretching the envelope a bit could be jewelry and home furnishings (Home Depot type stuff) kind of stuff & even personals if you know the makeup of the audience of the site.
