1) When an aff allows you to customise your (pages on their domain by changing header, footer etc) pages is it safe to link to your site from these customised pages on their domain? This means that your domain is linking to the affiliate domain and that hundreds (if not thousands) of pages on the affiliates domain are linking back to you - can this pose problems with SE?
2) Is it advisable to add AdSense to those pages on the aff's domain that you can customise?
3) Is AM more for people wanting to make money that establish their own brand and make money?
4)If you have an established domain/brand is it better to work with a private label?
5) Do you have to play the PPC (AdWords etc) game to make your affiliate sales increase or is your own site marketing and promotions enough?
6) Is there anywhere out there that actually compares unbiasedly different aff programs to show their negative and plus points?
7) If you launch a new site using an affs pre made html page is it a must to customise the pages to avoid dupe content?
Thanks in advance for your patience and hopefully guidance re above.

There was another one, but it seems to have been pulled!
You can see some of the questions you ask exposed. Just goes to show you that there is more than just looking at the top line % paid. In the case of HotelClub, they sign up punters that come from your site, and you will never get commission again, even if they come from your site a second time.
In the abstract it is very difficult to tie down the pros and cons, and as far as I know there is nothing on the web that answers

If anyone know of such a site, let me know :-)
[added]out of interest I tried to look up HotelClub just now, but got 400 error - are they still in business, or is this just a temp fault? [/added]
