Hey people,

I have an Amazon associates account which has been running for the past month or so, at first tihngs were going well, and although slow no, it's nothing I'm too fussed over. Have a little question though ...

You are only paid commision when an items ship, now I have around 10 or so items still to ship but have been ordered as far back as November 3rd. I always assumed cancelled items dissapear from the 'ordered items' count, so does anyone have any ideas to why the items have yet to ship and what will happen to them?

( by 'items' I'm speaking of products ordered by other people using my direct links to amazon products ... }

I've been an Amazon Associate for over three years, and I can tell you that cancelled orders do NOT just disappear from the reports. They say in the orders report, but they just don't ship! I've had quarters where, say, 25 items out of 300 ordered never shipped, and that's all I ever know about it.

If the specific items are listed now on Amazon as in stock, then most likely the orders WERE cancelled, though there is another possibility--some of all of them might have been part of a larger order, which included an item on backorder, and the customer wants them all to ship together. So those other items won't ship until that one item comes in.

Don't worry about unshipped orders. Amazon doesn't give us information about them, they probably never well, and you're better off putting your energy into increasing the orders you do get, IMHO.
