Adwords vs AdBrite for advertisers.
500 clicks at a cost of 5 cents a piece is far better than 312 clicks at 17 cents a pop don't you think? I ran the same ad on both networks and got 40% better results for 69% cheaper with AdBrite this week.
AdSense vs Adbrite for publishers.
I can't discuss AdSense figures in details but I can say that I gave AdBrite space below the fold on my site and I have earned more from AdBrite than AdSense this week by a good margin.
AdBrite shows me the sites and AdBrite shows me how much is being offered per ad. I can reject any ad on an individual basis without the guesswork AdSense puts you through with their filter system. With that information I can manage my site much better than with Google's tools that keep those figures secret.
Has anyone else gotten better results with AdBrite than AdSense recently?
My experience with "second-tier" PPC placements has been very, very consistent: lower per-click charges, but MUCH lower performance (usually ZERO sales, period).
Second, from the publisher side: As someone else notes, the math doesn't seem to work here. How can AdBrite charge 1/3 as much per click, and yet pay MORE to publishers than AdWords? Unless you believe that Google keeps more than 70% of click charges for itself (which is possible, I suppose), the math doesn't work.
As far as my experience goes? I had to stop publishing their ads on my site because 4 cents a click stinks. However, I still advertise on a couple of chosen sites and run ads on their network as well. As far as knowing exactly where your content ads are showing and the ability to block sites, they are leaps and bounds ahead of google. But yes, the quality of traffic is poorer overall.
