Is it ok to modify text links for CJ advertisers?

Ok, this may sound like a silly question, but I can't find the answer on CJ.

I'm testing CJ and Adsense ads on my new site. Given that the site is just six weeks old, there's no traffic, so I figure this is the best time to experiment.

If I get the HTML for a text link for a CJ advertiser, it looks too much like advertising. For example, I get a link that I want to put into the page text on my site, but it reads, "E-Widget can give you quotes from 100 different widget retailers in just minutes! [link]Apply NOW![/link]"

I would rather put the text link in my page at a point where I think the reader might be interested, and have it say something like, "[link]E-Widget[/link] offers a wide range of programs for widget purchases that are certain to satisfy your widget needs."

Is it permissible for me to change the text in the ad, as long as I don't change the link?

Seems like an obvious answer to me, but I've been wrong before.

You can't change the link code, but you can use any anchor text you want.
