I have an ebook I created, a good site and sell a few books every now and then, but I want to expand and am not sure how. Here are my ideas so far and I would really appreciate any suggestions you might have!

I am familiar with CJ.com (never made any money from it) but have not tried the selling side. As I understand it, it requires a large investment before you can start selling.

Tried Paydotcom, but they had problems back then and I never did get the setup completed. I didn’t like the idea that someone could by me ebook, read it, then get a full refund. It’s good content, but I would like to be the person making the decision on refunds rather than an automated system.

I did ebay for awhile, but it seemed like a lot of work.

I have not tried adwords.

That is the extent of my efforts (thoughts). I would be happy to consider an affiliate program, but what is the best?

Any help here would be greatly appreciated!

I've seen may people do OK with clickbank as they specialize in digital products.

As noted, ClickBank is generally the place folks go to sell ebooks, but many of its merchants look very sleazy.

As you note, Commission Junction is very expensive, as is LinkShare.

My current favorite affiliate network/solution provider is ShareASale.com -- I launched an affiliate program for a client using ShareASale, and the startup cost was only $250 for setup plus a $100 minimum deposit. There are some cheaper networks, but none with the stellar reputation that SAS has among webmasters.

I would try esellerate. I use it for my ebooks, they charge a rather hefty 10-15% fee per transaction, but great reporting, etc.. and your products are automatically marketed to all of there other customers and they can sign up to sell your product. I've gotten 30-40 affiliates that way...it's pretty sweet, the fees are annoying...but I suppose you could just list your products to get access to all of the potential affiliates and then use another fulfillment mechanism on your own site.
