Forward to Affilate?

I have a domain that gets a lot of type-in traffic. Is it ok to simply forward my domain to an affiliate program (using my affiliate ID, of course). I tried putting up a banner ad, but I'm not a webmaster by any means and there's no content on the site, and the page is ugly and has a poor click-through-rate. So I figured why not just forward the domain instead of hoping someone clicks on the banner?

It doesn't seem to be against the terms of service of the affiliate, but I'm wondering if it's something they might frown upon. I might call their customer service to doublecheck, but thought I'd see if anyone had any comments here first.

Thanks!

Ask the merchant's affiliate manager. In the past, I've done this with "stale pages" on my sites -- if I had a page about widgets that I hadn't updated in a while, I'd replace it with a redirect to a widget merchant, using an affiliate link. This is definitely one of those situations where it's better to get permission than to try to get forgiveness later.

Thanks Mark. I took your advice and called them. They said it was ok! Hopefully it will result in more $$. It's not doing so great in its current incarnation, so it's worth a try.
