Any other good banner exchanges?

We have a 468x60 banner ad at the bottom of our site. Over time, our data has shown that it was more profitable for us to do a banner exchange in that space over anything else. Problem is that bcentral went away, and I'm not sure if there are any other quality banner exchanges out there. Anybody know of any quality banner exchanges?

I just did a search for "banner exchange program" and it seems that there are a lot of them out there. What's good for one member might not be good for another memeber, so I'd suggest trying a few and see which one performs best for you.

Yes, there are a lot of them out there, but most of them are running on "auto-pilot," with nobody screening sites or ads, nor policing fraudulent traffic.

Usually, you trade "displays of your ad on garbage sites" in exchange for "garbage ads being displayed on your site."

Back in 1998-99, when I had a site about advertising, I tried to monitor many of the banner exchanges, and inevitably they "fell" to pressures from fraudsters and from lack of revenue.

This is an area where, in the end, I've concluded that the capitalist system is the best way to "exchange" ads. If you participate in a "paid" ad network, you can derive some revenue from displaying relevant ads, and then you can turn around and use that money to buy ads from either the same network or from other sources. You won't get an "even" nor even a 2:1 exchange ratio, but you'll probably get better results than any banner exchange out there today.

I do this with Google AdSense on several smaller sites that I operate -- I figure out what revenue the site will draw, and then I run AdWords campaigns to spend roughly the same amount promoting my site.
