is it good to partner up with a affiliate?

I'm thinking of looking for an affiliate who has somewhat experience in affiliate marketing. I'm a professional web developer and i have just launched web project which is sure to make money but i need to look for an affiliate/seo partner who can work with me since i don't have any experience in those fields. I would want to go out do all the myself but in my experience i have seen, its good to look for right people than build the whole Taj Mahal yourself. Any thoughts?

If you've got a unique product, not much competition, and a good business reputation, then surely it would benefit all parties to help promote your product. You might also want to consider setting up an affiliate program so many people/sites can help you sell your product.

You will need to convince affiliate marketers to work with you, either by offering them cash to promote your products, or offer some huge commission as most good marketers aren't just going to put up links to an unproven product/market.
