Waiting for competition against AdSense

Looking for other Adsense-like competitors

Any insight on how many other AdSense-like middleman players are on the street in next a few years?

Heard that Google's margin is too high..

Other emerging competitors should benefit webpublishers, right?

I wonder why Yahoo(Overture) are not catching up with Google quickly....

Any opinion will be appreciated..

Most of us are waiting these competitors not for quickly move to but to see a change in the Adsense policies regarding the obscure and impersonal "You're fired" email.

Unfortunately, around these alternatives has born a new word that I never heard before: "vaporware". It seems that Google is three years ahead and we will be waiting at least one year more to see something solid.

If you haven’t heard, we here at Kanoodle have recently launched BrightAds, our automated sponsored links product for small to mid-sized publishers. BrightAds was built directly from, and in response to, the feedback we have received from publishers, like yourself, looking for alternatives.

BrightAds is the only automated sponsored links product to map by “topic” rather than by “keyword” to ensure that ads on your site are always relevant, which means higher CTRs.

BrightAds sponsored listings have an average CPC that is among the very highest in the industry. This is evidenced by our selection by leading publishers like MSNBC.com, CBS MarketWatch and USATODAY.com.

We also allow you to post BrightAds listings on the same page or the same web site as other ads that you may be running.

Please feel free to post more questions, or contact us directly at brightadscs@corp.kanoodle.com.

IMHO 33% (or whatever it is) of a $XX keyword is better than 75% (or whatever it is) of a $.xx click.

Google has a deep inventory and quality bids. I tried one of the competing PPC feeds on a site, and the earnings were laughable, I had to keep using them for 3 months just to make the minimum $35 payout, then flipped over to Adsense and averaged between $1 and $.50 a click.

YMMV.

Kanoodle takes 50% vs 20% average for google, along with lower EPC, that doesn't make for competition. Why do all these other "competitors" feel the need to try and get as much money as they can out of publishers? They don't seem to realize that if they try that they will never build a huge network. A bit of something is a lot better then a large share of nothing..
