We do very well through direct sales of our own work and products and adsense, but I AM still hoping to find affiliate programs that would appeal to OUR audience - traditional business, and those that work in it.
I'm a member of the usual networks - CJ, Clickxchange and probably a few more than I've completely given up on, and there doesn't seem to be much at all that is even worth a shot.
We do a little of the job/resume/careers affiliate stuff thru CJ, but that's NOT of great interest to those that visit our sites. We do amazon.com and that works ok because it's already set up and we don't have to do anything to maintain it.
So, anyone have any suggestions about specific programs, or offers (let's say thru cj)? I'm hoping I'm just missing something here.
Sadly, while there is a LOT of contextual advertising going on by these traditional companies, these are not companies that spend their time setting up affiliate programs, or so it seems, except for the very few that do things like office supplies (not targetted enough)
ANY suggestions appreciated.
I'm looking to sell for others, because we have a lot of pages that don't necessarily suit what we sell directly. I'd like to be able to match some affiliate ads for those pages.
For example, we have a fair amount of content on resumes, careers, etc (although we don't really aim our own products at this audience). What we did was use one or two CJ programs, put targeted ads on that particular content, and that's the kind of thing I'm looking for.
I know I can approach particular companies and pitch ad space but I'm not interested in doing that. But, for example, if there were affiliate programs run by companies selling, let's say software for managers for time management, that might work. (actually there are).
