Affiliate Management : how to store/manage contacts?

I worked as an affiliate for a long time and am now planning on launching and managing a large-scale affiliate program for a popular site.

Because of my experience on the other side of the fence, I want to be very hands-on in my approach to affiliate management. I'm planning on contacting potential affiliates personally, offering incentives, and generally being constantly available for content/advice/whatever.

My question is pretty simple, I think: what is the best way to manage all my contacts personally? I'd like to have a searchable database of sorts, with fields for names, sign-up dates, contact info, website info, etc. I'm a fan of good-looking, intuitive, and easy. I've got a Mac. There would be only a few hundred affiliates to start. Any thoughts?

Are you going to be using in-house software, or a paid solution software, or a 3rd party setup? All of these should have the ability to manage the contacts quite easily. Of course user preference will go a long way as to which you prefer. You probably should even be able to filter the contacts based on criteia such as top producers, those that are idle etc.
