Hello.

What other companies can I use to post text ads on my site?

I know that there is Yahoo and Adbrite and others, Yahoo only accepts US publishers (I am not) and I found ban reviews about AdBrite, their page don't even load at this time.

Any other companies that are serious and pay as good as Google?
If there is one that can only show link and description is even better (without "ads by CompanyName").

...and pay as good as Google?

Probably not, but you could try AdSonar. They don't get mentioned much around here. Not sure why not. I don't have any affiliation but I do use them a tiny bit on my site and I am happy with them.

I found a few sites that will monetize your site by content or by keywords that you choose and they pay per click on the ads shown.

Adbrite.com is a good one, they pay net 60 however.

alternateurl.com is also good, it was originally meant to just replace your google ps ads, but you can now use it as a full ad all the time.

elementads.com is newer, but bids seem to be good and they are quick with support, etc.

alternateurl.com is also good

They only pay via Paypal, which is a system I refuse to use. Rather suspicious that they may be very amateur.

you will find for yourself the best one once you try many a select the only right for you. as one affiliate program may work perfectly for one person fro certain reasons, and may be at the same time absolute inappropriate for you. search google for "affiliate program" and you will get a pretty decent list of alternatives.
