I was looking at one of the affiliate links I have up with Ian/travelnow. I was trying to book a room for two adults and one 11 year old. A screen came up asking for the number of rooms and I could not get any further. I was using IE7.

I then tried firefox and was able to get through the process. Firefox would show a new form field once you said 1 child. That form field would ask the child's age and the booking would continue.

I was wondering if anyone else has noticed this. It does not seem to happen for all properties. Just certain properties.

I tried the same think on another machine with ie7 and got the same problems in booking.

(I know some people might think:" Well, change your ie7 settings" . The problem is that I tested using default settings which is what most visitors will be using. I think it might need to be addressed by Ian)

Also, I did send Ian an email with the links and screenshots.

Thanks

UPDATE - I just checked my email and IAN says they are aware of the IE7 issue and are working on it.

I'm debating if I should post a notice about it on my sites or not. The bad thing about this is that if people get frustrated with the booking process, they might shy away from the system in the future.

Ummm... my experience is that people don't even notice those kind of messages, far less actually read them.

Thanks.. I tend to agree. Also, those who do read it might misinterpret it so I'll leave things as they are.
