Affiliate channel reports? Stats? Anything?

Where can I read more about the affiliate marketing, er, market?

So, I have been looking and looking and can't find a report (even on JupiterMedia, etc) that talks about the affiliate marketing channel in general. I'd love to understand the market better...get some ideas about benchmarks, growth, that sort of thing.

* How big is the market domestically?
* How is it growing?
* Who is making the big money?
* Internationally?
* How many merchants offer product data feeds?
* How many affiliates are there?

Anyone know how to get questions like this answered? Basically, I'd love to see any stats at all that address the affiliate channel specifically. Everything seems to talk about online advertising broadly.

To be honest, I don't think anyone has done all that much research. If you contact one or two of the major AM networks (CJ etc.) they may be aware of papers published on the AM industry.
