Hi

What do you people consider better? Buying a new domain for every affiliate niche I want to create content for, OR just having niche sub folders on the one domain? Even though none of the niche's will probably be related?

I'm thinking the new domain for each niche is somehow better search engine wise

Thanks

Marcia

There are shopping (and coupon/deals) sites that have lots of different merchants that may or may not be related, but otherwise there wouldn't be any continuity for a site with different niches in separate sub-folders that are unconnected to each other by insite links.

I'd say to do a shopping site and/or separate domains for niches with the niche sites being more in-depth for manageability.

Think about it this way - if they're quality sites that qualify for directory listings, many will only accept submissions for the root of a site so if there are unconnected topical subdirectories those will not qualify for submission. The same would apply for requesting or exchanging on-topic links.

Personally, I like a "shopping" site for testing different markets and merchants - to a degree - but you have to know your particular target market for niche marketing, and the text and design should be specific for each to be most effective, so the latter is my personal preference.
