The future of affiliate marketing looks great

There is an opinion piece dated 11-21-06 in the USA Today newspaper concerning Amazon's plans to rent out all their services to basically anyone with a computer.

So if you have an idea for a better mousetrap, you could sit at home and have it manufactured, distributed, sold, delivered, etc. by basically renting services from Amazon. The goal seems to be for anyone with a computer to compete with large established companies on physical products just like bloggers compete with large established newspapers on delivering information.

Since Amazon has a well established affiliate program, this could open up lots of new products for affiliates to sell.

hehe they all want each business to:
advertise at google (your advertising agency)
sell via e-bay (your market place)
ship via amazon (your delivery company)

looks like dhl should look into selling stuff :)

It is a matter of time until the "Infomercials" and the "10 billion page" long sales letter start on how you to can be rich on the internet through renting Amazon's systems.

I like the idea. I am not liking how it will be expoited.
