Hi,

I am looking to get sponsors for my Mesothelioma site. Any idea if I should charge per click or per lead from a law firm. Also pls let me know if you have any thoughts on the $$ amount per lead or per click as well.

Thx, UndoneMe

I run a campaign for this area, and in OV all the top 5 bids are $100, the maximum. Just run some OV or Adsense listings and you should print money, if you have the traffic.

If you want to sell leads instead, around $5 per lead is the going rate.

I don't think the high paying Adwords advertisers are using the Adsense "content" option.

Thx for your replies. I dont understand why a click would pay more and a lead would npay less.

Any other ad options out there?

why is it that everyone focuses solely on mesothelioma?

anyone looking into it would be wise to seek other similarly caused cancers or conditions that are prone for lawsuits. Or anything lawsuits really.

Ops, did I let the cat out of the bag?:)

SSSSHHHHHHH! Let them chase each other's tails, I'm doing well over here!

Charging for mesothelioma ad space is all dependant on the TYPE of traffic you'll be sending. I stopped paying for Adwords under that term when I realised that 90% of the clickthroughs were other lawyers finding out who I was! If your site is more popular amongst sufferers (i.e. it is highly informational with multiple pages on the subject) then I'd pay up to $5 per lead here in the UK, in the US I think you could easily charge $10 per click-through. If you're site is a doorway aimed at claimers then I wouldn't consider advertising on a PPC basis - it would have to be per lead.

You know I've toyed with the idea myself, but I have two concerns, click fraud and competition. I have to imagine they are much less tolerant of click fraud at this price point. Not that I'm self clicking but I worry about the click armies out there generating unusual activity causing you to lose your account.

Thx internetheaven...one thing that bothers me is that they are paying 100 USD to overture, why should I charge only 10 USD?

why should I charge only 10 USD - Who are you?!?!?

Overture is known and trusted, you arent.

Sorry if that seems like an insult.

I understand that Essex_boy. But even keeping that in mind, 10 USD is a lot less.

I just punched in 'mesothelioma' in GoodKeywords - it's been searched 52,000 times!...

Is it that the world is full of people with mesothelioma, or it's just that webmasters are researching the competition?;)...

Excuse me....

$5 for a mesothelioma lead? If you can get away with only paying $5 per lead then that is utterly amazing...Why? The highest bids on OV are $100 like you said. For ONE click that advertiser is willing to spend $100! Let's say, for sake of arguement, that it takes 30 "Ov" clicks at $100/click to get a lead (and this is a good rate). That amounts to $3000 spent by the advertiser to get that lead. As far as I'm concerned, paying someone $5 for a "meso" lead is a kick in the arse. You should be willing to pay someone up to $500 for every lead (verified leads of course). But, like I said, that's my opinion and if you can get away with the $5 payout then kudos to you.

Dave.

[edit]Ok, I re-read $10/click-through in your post...is that what you meant? Because you mention lead and click-through in the same sentence and they are two completely different things...Paying $10 for every click-through would be more like it...[/edit]
