I haven't found anything that does anywhere near as well as AdSense. I wish I could diversify more but for now I just have a few Yahoo ads on pages that don't do well anyway.

Yahoo still has huge problems with targeting or maybe they just lack ads.

I dabble a bit with AdSonar, but I think the general consensus is that AdSense is as good as it gets for PPC contextual advertising.

Adsense is usually your best bet. But as you correctly guessed, diversification is a good idea (there are enough horror stories about what happens to people who dont diversify).

If your site is about products, you should have good success with Chitika. Another good program is Text-Link-Ads. If your site is a blog, you can try blogads.

The big question is the type of site and traffic that you get. Based on that, you can ask around and people will help you. Try posting a question here about what the best options are for your type of site.
