Something wrong here?

Lots of clicks, no sales

I've sent 450 referrels to Linkshare in a couple weeks and not one sale. This is all from natural traffic and is mostly from unique visitors, not repeat visitors. I'm not even doing advertising yet for the affiliates.

Am I right in thinking that something's funky here?

Anyone have a recommendation for another affiliate program? Obviously, lots of traffic, zero income. Something smells.

Even if not ONE of those 450 people bought something, it's not a program that's working for me. If I'm not making money from the ads, I might as well have no ads ...

It's hard to say without knowing which merchant. I will say that Linkshare sales for me are very abysmal this month. Even my best hitters like Target and Walmart are very weak.

Is your traffic targetted and matched up with the content of your site? Are you going for a high paying commission which is a high ticket item and not a common item, or?

I mainly deal in product datafeeds so the searches are for specific products.

Perhaps your sales pages don't convert very well...have you tried a different design to try and increase conversions? Do you give your visitors a reason to want to buy from you...ie. free shipping, discounts, comparisons...etc?
