Today I tested out commission junction to see if it records one of my sales.. So far it has been recording my clicks but i wasnt sure about sales yet. I bought something through my website just about ten minutes ago.. My question is, how long will it take for commission junction to track a sale... I want to make sure that I am getting credit for everything people buy through my site... Thanks

CJ just went through some huge updates since friday so their system is a bit behind in processing some fo the sales in the last few days.. i'd wait 24 hours to see if it shows up in some cases.. i had sales from friday that just showed up late last night..

really liking CJ.. after a week or really bringing my site online and trying to get traffic with a new feature I've brought in about 130$ in commisions.. without serps rankings either!

a new feature on your website? or a new feature through cj? what type of website do you have?

just checked cj and saw that the sale went through.. I am happy that it is actually tracking...A lot of work ahead of me... :)

In a different note. I did the exact same thing with a program I didn't exactly trust (one of those free signups but you have to cancel before 30 days), and 48 hours later, still was never credited for the lead. Tracking isn't perfect.

it doesn't always have to be on the site's end, though... make sure your cookies aren't accidentally turned off :)

it was a feature on my site..

originally.. it was all content with links to particular offers and retailers dispersed throughout the site.. but adding a new feature to the site helped me direct people to specific venders for exactly what they wanted.. this really helped things take off..

Hey, I take back my negative comment about a vaguely shifty merchant. I just got my commission today, 5 and 1/2 days later. Oh well, hey it worked :D
