Selling Affiliate programs has been the hardest thing that i have ever done, all the money, time and advertising all for one single payment and then you have to do it all again! It's a crazy game and thats why i went a new direction on the 28/07/06 and since that time i have had 3 people sign on and i get a residual income from every sign up every month and i also recieve residual income from people that they sign up.
So good luck to you all but i am finished with the whole Affiliate nightmare.
All the best

If you expect to receive much residual income based on what other people accomplish, I predict you'll be disappointed.

Unless you know some good affiliate marketers, the people under you will probably do about the same as what you did. There is no easy money in affiliate marketing, but if you work hard there is good money in affiliate marketing. it takes time, dedication and a lot of testing to see what works for you. Any way good luck on your downline :)

Selling Affiliate Programs is more of concept selling than product selling. It is a game of patience and persistence that ensures prompt returns in the long run. And ofcourse, managing affiliates is like managing a global sales force. You have to make sure that your affiliates have the required tools as well as suitable incentives. They are the ones who sell hard on selling your product as theirs.

People who are looking for quick easy money are the ones the rest take advantage of. It is not just inherent to the affiliate industry. The share market, casinos and small brick and mortar businesses all show the same signs. People come in to the industry with cash and high hopes and leave broke blaming the vehicle instead of the driver.

I am involved in a community serving affiliates and I see thousands of affiliates come and go. It is the ones that are ready to learn and reinvent themselves regularly that are profiting.

Heaven forbid! You mean you have to actually WORK nowadays to make any money? Why, it should just fall out of the sky and onto my lap! This is exactly the reason why affiliate marketing will always be profitable...only 0.1% of those who try will have the guts to stick it out and make it work.... :)
