Advertising program for Forum

Any recommendations?

I tried Adsense on a forum site of mine, but it really isn't the right kind of approach for this user base. So, I wondered if anyone had any good experience with other schemes that might work on a growing forum site.

Other methods I tried inlcuded Chitika, who do not take on forums, and Amazon who were hopeless.

Sounds like you need to find a program where you get paid via the impressions model. Different companies will have different rules regarding forums, so I'd recommend giving these a look over. If your forum is targetted to a specific niche or product, you could always try some affiliate links and see if that brings in any $$.

For forums, there are a variety of in-text advertising providers, such as intellitxt, kontera, where links are added within your site content.
