I've been contacted by the advertising company encharge of promotion for a hugely popular tv show. They are interested in buying ad space on my site since my site is dealing with the show, as well as one of my other sites that has the same target audience.

I have 26,000 members between the two sites, and receive between 50,000 and 60,000 page impressions daily.

I've done research online and found cpm rates going from 4 bucks to 40.... so with the wide range of options, I have no clue what to go with. Can anyone offer any advice?

Crashdown - you could go to Overture and find out what people are prepared to pay per click for the sorts of search terms that targets the TV show. (find the most expensive, popular term you can to do your calculation on) Then assume that the CPM rate for the TV show is worth (say) a 1% CTR to work a price back. They may never GET a 1% CTR, but presumably they are doing this for branding as much as anything.

Of course, if that calculation doesn't earn you enough, then think of something else :)

Just my thoughts.

Dixon.
