What is a decent CPM?

I'm a bit confused. Adsense vs. burst/tribal etc...

Hello everyone, this is my first post in this forum. I've been reading that a $1 CPM is considered good, while the average is more like 50 cents. I've been using AdSense for about a year on my site, which is not a high traffic site (about 30,000 page views a month), and my average 'Effective CPM' according to my adsense stats is now a lot higher than $1. Is it safe to assume that it would be silly to use any other ad broker/service (Burst, tribalfusion, etc.) if most companies are only paying 50-75 cents CPM? Or am I comparing apples to oranges? Please shed some light on this, as I want to make sure I am not missing anything.

Hi, $1 CPM is less as for as the adsense is concerned $5 is common and some sites can yeild upto $20-$50 (I guess) which is pretty good. However CPM depends on how many clicks you are getting and whether your content is highly payable? and so on.

that would just drive your total earnings .. .
