How much are affiliate websites worth?

Hi, my friend was telling me about an affiliate website he owned and I was wondering how much they are worth. The site has a pagerank of 4, although search engine free hits are non-existant, therefore he does all adversting through google ($30,000 so far). The site is about $15000 in profit, but profit margins are severely diminishing, because when he started it (9 months ago) CPC was $0.15, and now they are average $0.75. Therefore, he is keeping it alive for the sake of it really, it doesnt make any money anymore. The site has very little content (five pages), but he doesnt need to spend any time on it each day. Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but it seems the most appropriate.

If its gets traffic only thro PPC and has negligibale return traffic then its worth only how much it take to create another similar site like that (design/content writing) , not a dollar more!

I concur, with only 5 pages and ppc traffic, it is only worth the amount of money it would cost to have a designer create the site.

It also may not even be worth that since for the same price, you could have a designer create the new site with better seo so it actually could get some free traffic.
