Earning the 2.5% commission on MarketPlace sales was working an seemed quite happy last quarter. However over the past couple of days 4 MP sales have been made through my site according to the stats, but they are all listed in the Earning stats as having earnt 0.00 commission and a Referral Fee of 0.00%

Has anyone else seen this? Has something changed, or is my account seemingly broken?!

Thanks in advance for any help/comments.

Amazon.DE currently does the same, while .COM seems to be working as expected.

I hope this is just a bug...

Hopefully things will sort themselves out then. .de MP commission came online roughly the same time as .co.uk (ages after .com) so maybe it's some sort of Y2.004K problem.

I've recently seen a 7.5% commision with amazon.com. I knew it was hard to get the 15% but does this mean they half-clicked something else, changed focus, or what? I know the item was a hard-back with 30% off.
I have never seen a 0% UK commission on amazon.co.uk...
Anyone else seen deviations from 4.9-5%, 15% or 2.5%?

Regarding the 7.5% I had a mail from amazon before xmas stating that they will revise their commission structure. Getting away from 15% for direct link (books) and therefore paying 7.5 for everything (even when visitor doesn't buy on the first click).
unfortnuately I don't have the email anymore, so just this vague quote, but as an affiliate you should have it, too.

for .de I havent seen anything changed in their policy, they still promote the 2.5% for MP sales ( Oct - Dec ) on their associats homepage. Sofar, this has not been prolonged yet.

hope this helps

I saw the mention of the 7.5% rate, but there is nothing on the associates.amazon.co.uk about this change - it still talks about 15%, 5%, 2.5%

Amazon's lack of information on their website, and customer relations for associates is woeful - especially when compared to Google's AdSense which I also use.

Amazon has posted an explanation on what's happening in .UK and .DE: You have to opt into the tired structure to earn marketplace, but right now you can't opt-in. The'll send and email when we can...

I think the communication of the non-US amazon-teams is very poor. I didn't even get a response when asking what's up with the payment structure for Q1.

Thanks willamoius - it looks as if that's yet another forum to keep an eye on..!

It's ridiculous that they paid out on MP purchases last quarter under the classic structure, and now the classic structure has apparently been redefined.

It really is quite a nightmare knowing where you stand with Amazon.

I have just seen that amazon.de links to its Q1 2004 referral structure plan.
5% basic +2.5% for direct links (classic structure). For MP sales, no commission in the classic structure, but 2.5% in tired structure (+ 2.5% if directly linked).

I think the communication of ALL amazon teams is very poor!

At least .com offers several forums which aren't available for other countries. Especially their announcement board is often very useful.

Communication with the European (and Canadian) amazons is hopeless.

BUT - If you have been keeping an eye on the amazon.com messageboards recently you will have seen that they (amazon) have been answering queries on .uk, .fr and .de tier structures.
