Hi,

what does C.J. or LinkShare do when there is a charge back or fraud transaction involed? Does the merchant still have to pay it's affiliate commission on fraud and charge back transaction?

sincerely,

Vincent

No the merchant doesn't have to pay the commission.

I can vouch for that, having about 100 transactions reversed through a CJ merchant.

In 3 years, I've never had a chargeback through any Linkshare merchant.

I think the chargebacks largely depend on what sort of merchants and industries you deal with.

If you're selling shampoo, you don't need to worry. On the other hand if you're selling jerseys or computer hardware then you need to watch your step.

I have had several reversals through CJ, but all were for the same Merchant. More than 50% of my sales were reversed, no reasons, no replies from the merchant. Got out of that one fast!
