Best method for coding affiliate links

need advice on coding URLs from my affiliates

HI,

I'm starting a project that will allow me to set up affiliates to sell my products.

I'm doing the code myself since I could not find good, low cost software, plus it gives me total control.

How should I code the link / URL that each affiliate uses?

I'd like to avoid using a "?" in the link so that search engines can spyder the links.

My site uses Cold Fusion and Javascript.

I will only have 100 or fewer affiliates.

Any advice?

One piece of advice, avoid the use of phrases or strings in URLs that are associated with banner advertising (e.g. "/banner/"). Also avoid the use of query strings (e.g.?keyword=variable) within links to banner graphics. These are common things ad blocking software use to pick off banner ads. Using non-standard ad sizes is also a good ploy.
