Affiliate Marketing with Overture

What do I tell them?

I have one particular set of ads which have been working wonders on AdWords, so I decided to expand to Overture. I chose the method that starts out with $50, and you can add more money whenever you wish.. like the prepaid method or what not. Anyways, it says that your ads won't start for 3-5 days. It ALSO mentions however that they CALL the individual advertisers, this is a new one for me. What exactly do I tell them when they call? Is Overture compatible with CJ.com and methods like this? Just curious if anyone else does it too, thanks.

the normal reason for calling is a "Security Check" for credit card etc etc.

I doubt they will want to know about your CJ relationship etc.

Ah, cool, so if they indeed ask, I can just say I'm affiliated with www.xwidgetmakingcompany1.com and www.xwidgetmakingcompany2.com through both direct and indirect resources? Or I guess I wouldn't even have to release that much information, it's none of their business :D Thanks Shak, you're the best!

The phone call is just for verification purposes. I have a few cj sites that I use Overture for. Works out well.

If I remember correctly, OV doesn't take direct affiliate links. Only links that go to your site and then to the merchants. You can slip some direct links past the editors but they will probably catch most, if this is what you are doing.

Just to let you guys know, they accepted my ads.. didn't even blink at it. You would think the qkserv.net would have tipped them off? Eh, well I can't find anything in their TOS about this, with exception of having enough content of the landing site (which there's plently of, especially since it's not my site). So I'm just going to leave it untill they say something :)
