What wording do you use in email requests

Hi, I'm getting involved with affiliate marketing and am in the process of sending emails to potential sites. Do I use the same methods as link requests? If so, what would be the best wording to use? In addition, are there any good programs or sites that help with affiliate marketing?

As a merchant trying to recruit affiliates?

Worry less about the words than the numbers.

i.e. we have converted at {PERCENT} with an aveage sale of {AMOUNT}.

But as for the wording, talk to the affiliates, not at them, and respect their intelligence and the realities of the game. You may want to lurk in affiliate forums and soak up the old threads.
