A friendly competitor of mine advised me of a tatic being employed by a non friendly competitor.

When someone comes to the site and clicks his apply here button it takes them to his app page but as they arrive the non friendly competitor's application actually comes up in front of his. I know he spends thousands a month to bring traffic to his site. The gator software is feeding a non paying competitor his customers any time they click on the link that takes them to a certain url which contains the app page. How can that possibly be legal must less ethical.
Anyone have a similar problem or suggestions I might be able to share with him?

Keep in mind this is only happening when the user has Gator installed on their computer.

Check out post #26 here [webmasterworld.com]. cyberkat had a good idea of offering visitors a parasite check link. Might help keep some of your visitors from being lured over to your competitor. Hopefully, U-Haul takes the case to a higher court.
